Gretchen Lieberum is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter. In 2013, she co-founded Prince tribute band Princess with actress-comedian and SNL alumni Maya Rudolph, performing everywhere from the Hollywood Bowl, to Carnegie Hall along with D’Angelo and Elvis Costello, to the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. In addition to playing with Princess, Gretchen has written and recorded four albums of original music, both independently and with the support of Lakeshore Records in the US and Nomadic records in the UK. Gretchen’s latest project, an album of reimagined jazz and pop standards titled “This May Only Be A Dream,” was produced by BAFTA award winning composer and musician Keefus Ciancia (True Detective, Killing Eve). Gretchen graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a BA in American Literature. She is a married mom of two and a breast cancer survivor.

La plateforme de streaming américaine Peacock a donné son feu vert pour lancer l’adaptation en série télévisée de la série de romans de LitRPG à succès de Matt Dinniman, Dungeon Crawler Carl. Le scénario sera écrit par Chris Yost (The Mandalorian), la série produite par Fuzzy Door, société de production de Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) en partenariat avec Universal Global Television, et Matt Dinniman participera en tant que producteur exécutif. Lugli argues that love at first sight is perhaps the most transformative form of love and an idea worthy of serious study. Across eight chapters, he explores the phenomenon: first as a mysterious pull between strangers; then as a complex neurobiological process by which the eyes end up doing half a dozen jobs at once; and, finally, as an approach to seeing the world anew. He’ll spend time with scientists using AI to decode how macaque monkeys perceive faces, and in labs studying cells in the visual cortex that quicken the heartbeat before the brain even registers what it is happening. He discovers ancient Chinese tales of students struck dumb by the sight of a beauty and English royals smitten by miniature portraits.

On this narrative journey Lugli asks: Can love at first sight tell us something about attraction? Does it really need the adult supervision of reason? Hildur Knútsdóttir was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, in 1984. She has lived in Spain, Germany, and Taiwan and studied literature and creative writing at The University of Iceland. She writes fiction both for adults and teenagers, as well as short fiction, plays, and screenplays. Hildur is known for her evocative fantastical fiction and spine-chilling horror. The Night Guest is her first book translated into English. She lives in Reykjavík with her husband, their two daughters, and a puppy called Uggi.
